Working with BlackBox files

Once accessed and downloaded from a DVR, the following are common use cases for BlackBox Recordings.

  • Upload into Getac Enterprise.
    Note:
This is useful if a recording was recovered of an event that the User was not able to activate a recording.
  • Upload to third-party Records Management System.
    Caution:
Getac does not provide documentation for this process, as there are many RMS systems. Contact your RMS vendor for assistance.
  • Use for internal training.

Getac does not use proprietary players or codecs, so BlackBox videos can be reviewed in whichever application that .MP4 files are supported, e.g. VLC Media Player.
