Power On
To power on the BWC, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the BWC says, "hello". The following occurs once the BWC is powered on:
- The Battery Status LED will turn on (Green or Red depending on percentage remaining)
- The BWC will say, "hello."
- If enabled, Pre-record will begin automatically.
- The LED light and audible cues will not function while the BWC is in Covert Mode.
- Docked BWCs will automatically turn on once they have sufficient battery charge to do so.
Standby
To place the BWC into low-power standby mode, press and hold the power button for approximately 10 seconds or until the BWC says, "goodbye". The following occurs once the BWC is powered down:
- The Battery Status LED will turn off.
- The BWC will say, "goodbye."
- Pre-record will be disabled.
Caution:
- Placing a BWC into standby disables the Pre-record function.
- BWCs that are in standby will continue to discharge the battery until depleted (approximately 24 hours).
- The BWC can be brought out of standby by pressing the record button (start recording) or by a wireless activation signal from a Bluetooth Trigger Box that is both in range and paired to the camera.
