Overview
The magnetic breakaway cable charges the BC-03 while mounted on a User in a vehicle. This cable safely detaches from the BC-03 should the operator need to quickly exit the vehicle. It also allows the operator to maintain the battery for a greater period of time than on the internal battery alone.
Watch the video below for how to attach the cable for charging:

Note:
Getac does NOT provide or warranty 12v cigarette lighter USB chargers. When looking to purchase, look for a charger that is UL rated and at least 2.4amps.
Caution:
If the breakaway cable is plugged into a USB port on an MDT or infotainment system, e.g. Ford Sync or Dodge UConnect the BWC may enter storage mode and will NOT start a recording if the record button is pressed or an automatic trigger is initiated (e.g. Light bar).
The magnetic breakaway cable cannot be used for data transfer, i.e. upload to Getac Enterprise. When used with the MDT App, the Ethernet connection is able to provide a view-only option to any Assets recorded and add additional Metadata or custom forms as desired.
