Article summary

Mute On

To mute all audio being recorded, the BWC must first be recording, then the mute button must be pressed for approximately 1 second and released. The BWC will then say, "mute on."

The following occurs when a recording is muted:

  • Audio will no longer be recorded.
  • A Bookmark will be placed on the timeline to indicate that audio was muted.

Mute Off

To unmute and begin capturing audio again, the mute button must be pressed for approximately 1 second and released. This is the exact same process to mute audio during a recording.

The following occurs when a recording is unmuted:

  • Audio will begin recording again.
  • A Bookmark will be placed on the timeline to indicate when audio was unmuted.
Notes:
  • Audio can be muted and unmuted as many times as needed by the operator.
  • This feature can be disabled entirely via the Unit Configuration Template in Getac Enterprise.
  • This process also applies to mute/unmute audio during an Audio-Only Recording.
